My personal portfolio site for my Photography. This is a responsive design site, it scales the content based on the size of your browser window, catering for mobile phones, tablets and wide-screens. Uses a jQuery background image slideshow that uses the full window. It has an animated custom sliding panel, social media links and Facebook Like button. The site also integrates with my Facebook Page of my Photography pulling in all my albums, displaying them on the right hand side with album navigation and light box viewing of individual photos.
Kia Car Dealers Network
Kia needed a consistent website design for their network of dealers throughout New Zealand. I worked with another developer and the team from Auto Play to build a site that would need the needs of the individual dealers requirements.
The site gives information on the latest Kia cars, and also the dealers used cars listings.
Extensive use of CSS3, @webfonts and jQuery.
LK – Liquor King
Liquor King’s ecommerce site was designed by Shift and built by Cucumber. The site runs on Cucumber CMS (custom ASP .Net CMS). For this site build I was the lead Front End developer working with one back end and one other front end developer.
The site used extensive transparent PNG’s for a layered effect. The bottles sit over a shadow background on top of a shelf design. Minimal styling changes were made between the different categories (wine, beer, spirits, RTDs) but all had there own unique look with clever minimal changes.
Panasonic New Zealand
The panasonic site is a large scale product brochure, with multiple micro sites to highlight the sub brands of Panasonic (Lumix, Heat pumps, Viera). Product details are pulled in from their ERP system. The site was built on a custom ASP .Net (C#) platform, and the site was built using XHTML + CSS 2.1 with the jQuery Javascript library. I was involved in the configuration, presentation layer CSS/HTML & jQuery javascript. Design was by Publicis Mojo and was a collaboration with Cucumber, Panasonics long time technical developer.
Offerzone
The Offerzone website is an online loyalty reward program exclusive for TrustPower customers. The site allows businesses to offer great deals to other TrustPower customers. The site was built on Sitecore (a ASP .Net CMS), using HTML 5, CSS 3 and jQuery. I was the lead front end developer working with 2 other front end developers. Managing two others was a challenge in itself. To not step on each others toes on the project we used OOCSS techniques, where we focused on reusability foremost of CSS styling. When exceptions happened additional classes were added rather than rewriting or duplicating code.
Cucumber
The Cucumber site reflected the new branding, with a recycled paper background look. The site was built on Sitcore (a ASP.Net CMS), using HTML 5, CSS 3 and jQuery. The HTML 5 Boilerplate was used in conjunction with the jQuery cycle plugin and Google Fonts for the main text body.
Zespri
The Zespri site was a rebuild in conjunction with DNA. I worked alone on this project liaising with the designer. The new look site has a focus on video and interaction. ZESPRI’s home page feeds users via it’s 3 sliders into the large depth of content in the website. The site is built on a custom ASP .Net (C#) platform CMS, using the HTML 5 Boilerplate (HTML5 & CSS3) and uses jQuery for sliders and modal windows.
